      Small literary magazines like ours are enormously important to emerging and innovative writers. The small press can express and encourage a rich diversity of literary styles and topics in ways mass-market vehicles may be unable to do. It is our hope that by publishing on the internet, in some small way we are making this kind of broad-based forum more accessible to readers and writers in the new digital age.

      Despite the reduced costs of internet publishing, expenses are nonetheless incurred--Website services, post office box rental, and advertising. So far we have been fortunate in finding people who have volunteered editorial, technical, and legal expertise, but we can't rely on this indefinitely. Donations will enable us to update our computer hardware and software, employ clerical and administrative help, and enhance our production with a development site for writers to preview their work.
