Facets announces its first Short Story Contest! First prize is $100, second prize is $50, and third prize is $25. All three winning stories will be published in the January 2003 issue. There is a $6 reading fee for each story submitted. You may submit more than once. No submissions will be accepted after December 15, 2002.
1 - Click the PayPal button below. If you aren't registered with PayPal, you will need to, filling in your contact information along with credit card number. For our records, the name registered with PayPal must be the same name as that on the manuscript submission. If you are using a different name as author, please be sure to include the name used on the credit card registered with PayPal on your manuscript submission. In the amount window beneath "Payment For: Fiction Contest 2003," enter the amount of $6.00 US. Enter your short story title in the window ("Enter Short Story Title Here") at the bottom of the Payment Details page before you click the "Pay" button. enter the name of the story you are submitting.
2 - Send in one (1) story, no more than 5,000 words, via e-mail, as text within the body of an email. Make sure it is titled with the same title you entered after "Enter Short Story Title Here." We cannot accept or open any attachments, and in the case of attachments, the $6.00 reading fee will be forfeited.
If your email will not hold the entire story as text, send it in two sections, with identical title and name at the top of each submission.In submitting to this contest, you indicate that you have read, understand and accept the rules as stated on this page.
